QUICK, SEAMLESS IBM i BACKUPS WITH THE R2I CLOUD
R2i’s IBM i backup solution is integrated into BRMS (Backup, Recovery and Media Services), the popular IBM i backup sofware. It will save your data onto virtual media and automatically transfer it into your space in the R2i cloud. Adapting your physical backups to the cloud is a simple and transparent process with no effect on your activities.
This solution is available for IBM i operating systems running at least version 7.2.
Your data will be compressed before being sent to the R2i cloud where storage space is optimized, ensuring efficient and cost effective data transfer and storage.
Your data will be encrypted during the transfer process and stored in a secure cloud space. Only an authorized system can generate the encryption key required to access the data.
If ever you need to access your data, it is quickly available. Automatic maintenance of your backups – in line with your criteria – will regularly free space for an optimal use of the R2i cloud.
Everything is automated thanks to BRMS / R2i cloud compatibility: the data will be transferred from your offices during the backup process and downloaded in case it needs to be recovered.
