Tamara gained internationally recognized expertise in performance analysis and capacity optimization and planning with IBM Power systems, where she oversaw all major Power systems projects in Canada. An expert in project management involving PowerHA technology, Tamara has spoken at COMMON and TUG conferences, and was named “best of the best” at the IBM Power training camp in 2016. Tamara regularly reviews clients’ systems to track problems before they arise and to ensure that the resources they invest in their systems best meet their needs and can adapt to the growth of their Business. Tamara holds numerous certificates from major IT infrastructure manufacturers and is an accredited senior IT specialist in IBM. She graduated from Queens University with distinction in 1985 with a Bachelor of Commerce.

Established in 2014, R2i is an IT firm that specializes in data centre infrastructure, artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructures that are ISO 27001 and 27018 certified as well as a wide range of high-level managed services.

Brian Nordland is the technical product manager for PowerHA and Robot HA at HelpSystems. Brian has spoken at events, webinars, and user groups—including COMMON—since 2014. He is a co-inventor on multiple patent applications and co-author on technical publications in high availability and distributed computing.
